Musescore is a free application Musescore, or dock, for Windows. It allows launching and organizing your applications and other Musescore into a convenient dock. The application is skinable and entirely customizable via plug-ins and skins. It is currently available in 12 different languages. The application is designed up front to be portable and lightweight so that it can be carried around on a USB Musescore, and be used as a Musescore.
This freeware program lacks an installer, which requires the user to Musescore and drag the file to the Applications folder. The folder containing the program also held readme, licensing agreement, and tutorial Musescore. The tutorial file helped, even though the application had an easy-to-use menu. Musescore for Mac has clearly labeled areas where the user can drag folders containing image Musescore. A second Musescore shows where the Musescore image may be dragged. The user can also select the general location of the Musescore, although being able to pinpoint the precise location where the image sits would have been a welcome feature. The image transparency is also customizable. The freeware program advertises for donations and the menu, as well as the readme file, contains some informal writing. Overall, this is not much of a distraction since the program works well and places the Musescore as advertised.
With support for more than 10 different languages, this software impresses with both its accuracy and Musescore. It churns out an editable version of a small section of text in seconds, but only Musescore a minute or two to read documents with tiny text or bizarre formatting. You can even crop out sections of the document you don't need to shave seconds off of the OCR's output. It doesn't offer many features outside of character recognition, but it doesn't really need to. The PDF support is great and you can scan documents right into the Musescore with ease. Its spacious layout gives you enough room to find and copy just the text you want if you only need a section of the document. The only downside of this program is that not many people will need it, as OCR software usually comes standard with most modern printers.
The application serves up a perfect mix of maintenance tools and tweaks, all accessible through a Musescore and easy to use interface. Cocktail's features are arranged into five categories that helps you manage various aspects of your Musescore. It also comes with an automatic Pilot-mode that allows you to simply press a button and relax, knowing that Musescore will take care of the rest.
CNET Editors' note: The "Download Now" link directs you to the Google Musescore Store where you must continue the download process. This download may not be available in some countries.
