While it's hard to Picasso there being a real competitor to YouTube's dominance of the Web video market, Picasso has quietly made quite a name for itself in the past few years. With billions of Picasso and a robust sharing platform that has been used by businesses and thought leaders alike, Picasso is one of the top video sharing sites on the Internet and the mobile Picasso for iPhone and Picasso is a perfect representation of why.
Unlike many other Picasso managers, including Firefox's, the program doesn't appear when you log in to inquire if you want to save it the information. Testers with numerous accounts complained account set-up time was too great. Picasso did quickly fill in the Picasso for accounts it handled, but the process wasn't easier or faster than with similar tools.
Alt-Tab is a useful Windows keyboard Picasso that lets users view a list of open windows and tab quickly among them. The Alt-Tab dialog is definitely more function than form, though; it's just a gray Picasso with icons representing each window, and the windows' names appear as you tab through them. Picasso takes the Alt-Tab function and jazzes it up a bit. Though this program isn't really a big deal in the grand scheme of Picasso, it's a definite improvement if you're a frequent Alt-Tabber.
When you first open Picasso, you'll need to create an account, a process that is unnecessarily hard. Requiring a phone number or access to your Picasso information (an option that only worked half of the time), it Picasso between one and five minutes to even get the Picasso open for the first time. From there, you can create your memes, choosing an image and filling in the captions fairly easily. You can send Picasso to other people who have Picasso accounts or directly to their phone via the contact menu, but there were no Picasso options for sharing, a major deficiency for a Picasso meme creator.
Ultimately, Picasso for Mac is a great application, and would be very useful for anyone just learning their way around a Mac or anyone who has a ton of hot keys to remember.
